125th Anniversary Fund
for the Continuation of Yale-China’s Work
Give a gift to the Yale-China Association in this milestone anniversary year to support the organization in all of its programs
Pettus Fund
for Health Programs
Support Innovative Healthcare Programs. In honor of our deeply dedicated friends Maude and Winston Pettus, beloved of the staff of Xiangya and of the wartime citizenry of Changsha, who gave their lives to each other, to their profession, and to the people of China. Your gift supports nursing and medical careers, promotes medical ethics, and develops innovation in the healthcare system for left-behind children and elderly.
Doug Murray Fund
Rural Education
Honor Douglas Patterson Murray, Jr. as a champion for U.S.-China engagement. Doug made countless contributions to promoting education and understanding between the United States and Asia. Assist Yale-China and continue Doug’s work as we address educational inequity in Western Hunan by supporting left-behind children at under-resourced schools.
Artist Fellowship Fund
for Arts Programs
The Artist Fellowship Fund will provide support to emerging professional artists at Yale’s four graduate arts schools to create original work engaging Chinese culture. The residency supports the creation of new intercultural work that – in process and presentation – brings together students, artists, and audiences from New Haven, Yale, and the world.
Western Hunan Health Initiative Fund
Rural Health Equity in Xiangxi
Transform Healthcare in Rural Settings. Yale-China’s Western Hunan Initiative aims to transform health services at the local level for people living in the under-served, mountainous region of Western Hunan Province, China. This collaborative, long-term, public health project will redefine health services implementation at the township and village level, while seeking a systems approach to improve health services policy at higher levels.
Yali Fund
Global Understanding in Changsha and New Haven
Yali Fund will provide essential funding needed to bring Chinese Teaching Fellows from Yali schools to New Haven in 2022-25 and the Yale-China Fellows who will dedicate two years to teaching Yali students in 2022-25. Your gift will support this legacy of excellence.
Lunarfest Fund
Connecticut’s largest annual Lunar New Year celebration
The Lunarfest Fund will provide operating support to continue the annual Lunar New Year celebration in downtown New Haven and to help keep this event free and accessible. Organized by the Yale-China Association in collaboration with Yale University and New Haven community partners, this vibrant day features a spectacular NYC lion dance troupe, immersive cultural performances, and hands-on workshops led by local artists.
