Community Mural

Lunar New Year is a time of gathering. While our community can’t gather this year to celebrate the Year of the Tiger in person, we have found a way to way to bring people together through art. Local artist Kaitlin Tan Fung created this Year of the Tiger design. Each square has been decorated by members of the Greater New Haven community as a way for us to gather together and celebrate the new year. Learn more about the mural design, team, and how to get your own copy below.

During May and June, the mural will be on display on the second floor of the Ives Branch of the New Haven Public Library.

Red and Gold

Red and gold are considered lucky colors. They are used in decorations during Lunar New Year to bring luck and wealth into the new year. We hope that this lucky Tiger design will bring the Elm City luck and happiness in the Year of the Tiger.
