Yale University — New Asia College (YUNA) Exchange
The YUNA Exchange matches eight students from Yale University with eight students from New Asia College at The Chinese University of Hong Kong for a unique six-month, themed, academic and cultural exchange program. Yale participants plan a two-week visit in New Haven, travel to Hong Kong over Yale’s spring break, and conduct research on the theme. Many students cite YUNA as one of the most important experiences of their time at Yale, both for the personal growth it allows and for the friendships that are formed through the program.

For more than twenty years, the program has brought some of the brightest and most curious students from Yale and from New Asia together to explore shared issues in very different cultures.
From the Field
“The YUNA Exchange has arguably been the single most valuable experience in my time at Yale. This is no exaggeration. The six months that I spent planning the Yale portion of the program, hosting the New Asia College students, preparing symposium presentations, and living in Hong Kong have transformed my cultural and global consciousness.” – Jamey Silveira, YUNA 2012 More >
