Body movement artists Cai Ying and Sarah Xiao present a mindfulness video series designed for morning and evening routines. These practices can focus your attention on your body, reduce stress, and support self-reflection.

About the Artists 关于艺术家

Cai Ying, born in Xiamen, China, is a dance artist, choreographer, performer, teacher, researcher based in Hong Kong and Singapore. Her work has taken shape in many forms including staged dance works, installation art, site-specific performances, and immersive experiences, which explore the state of flowing between senses of alienation and belongingness, insider and outsider, sameness and otherness. Ying holds a BFA degree in Chinese Dance at the Beijing Dance Academy and MFA degree in Choreography from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Cai Ying was a 2015-2017 Yale-China HKETONY Arts Fellow at Yale University. She is currently a Senior Lecturer in Dance at Singapore Raffles Music College and a Stott Pilates instructor.

蔡颖,出生于中国厦门,是一名舞蹈艺术家,编舞师,演员,教师。蔡颖在香港和新加坡等地从事多年的艺术研究和学习。她的作品形式多样,包括舞台舞蹈作品、装置艺术、现场表演和沉浸式体验。蔡颖在北京舞蹈学院和香港演艺学院分别获得“艺术创作学士学位”和“艺术创作硕士学位”。蔡颖为2015-2017期“雅礼.香港经济贸易办事处(纽约)艺术项目”的研究学者,其现任新加坡莱佛士音乐学(Raffles Music College)院舞蹈高级讲师。

Sarah Xiao started her dance training at the age of​ six in the Province of Hunan, China.​She received ​her professional​ education at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), where she was awarded an Outstanding Performer Award, the Dean's Prize for Dance, and a full scholarship to Biblioteca do Corpo at ImPulsTanz - Vienna International Dance Festival. Sarah has ​been involved actively in a number artistic projects with international artists including Isaac Chong, Manu​el Pelmus, Alvin Tran, Scarlet Yu, ​and Cai Ying. As an independent dance artist with a unique and unconventional style, her open approach to performances brings an introspective​ and artistic ​viewpoint to her audiences. Her solo work includes They Don't Care About Us, ?, Free Now, ​and She. Sarah was a 2019 Yale-China Arts Fellow.

肖莎拉6岁开始在中国湖南接受舞蹈训练。她曾在香港演艺学院学习专业表演。莎拉参与了许多国际艺术家的艺术实践,比如庄伟(Isaac Chong)、曼扭.佩尔姆斯(Manual Pelmus)、阿尔文·特拉恩(Alvin Tran)、余美华(Scarlet Yu)、蔡颖(Cai Ying)等。莎拉作为一个独立的舞者,她有着其独特和非传统性的表演风格,她开放的表演方式给观众留下了省思及艺术美感。她的表演作品包括 “他们不关心我们?”、“现在有空了”,“她”。在求学期间,她获得了优秀表演者奖、迪安舞蹈奖(Dean's Price for Dance)和维也纳Biblioteca Do Corpo舞蹈项目、Tanz舞蹈节的全额奖学金。莎拉是2018-2019年度“雅礼艺术项目”的耶鲁访问学者。
