We're Eager to Hear Your Yale-China Stories!
December 22, 2008

You may have noticed a dark red ink chop bearing four classical Chinese characters peeking from the pages of the autumn 2008 Yale-China Review. Reading “Yali Gushi,” (“Yale-China Stories”), the chop is the logo for one of our newest and most exciting initiatives—to collect the memories and reflections of our extended family.

We would like to invite you to share your “Yale-China Story” through our user-friendly submission page or by emailing it to us at yalechinastories@yale.edu In the autumn issue of the Yale-China Review we brought a few of these Yale-China stories to you. We hope they will serve as inspiration, but please don't feel limited by their format. For anything from short vignettes to involved narratives, brief comments to in-depth commentary, our ears are open.

Some of the things we would love to know include: why does this work inspire you, what is it about China that captures your imagination, what are your thoughts on the future of U.S.-China relations? Or maybe you have a story to tell from your own Yale-China experience--how did you become connected to us, and how was your life changed?

Photos are also very welcome and can be uploaded directly on the submission page. As we hear from you, we’ll share your story with others on the stories page of our website, and possibly in future publications. Please check back regularly to hear what others have to say!
