World Tai Chi Day 2019
New Haven Green (10am-1pm)

Linsly-Chittenden Hall (2-4pm)
Room 101
63 High Street

The last Saturday of every April is World Tai Chi and Qigong Day, celebrated all around the world. World Tai Chi and Qigong Day was established in 1999 as a free public event bringing together people across racial, economic, religious, and geo-political boundaries to join together for the purpose of health and healing through tai chi and qigong. It is celebrated in 80 nations on 10am the last Saturday of April, beginning in Samoa and ending in Hawaii.

The 2019 World Tai Chi Day in New Haven is organized annually by the Yale-China Association, Aiping Tai Chi Center, and members of the tai chi community with generous support from Yale departments and New Haven leaders.

Save the date for the outdoor demonstrations and workshops at the heart of New Haven on the Green: Saturday, April 27, 2019, to be followed by a conference featuring several leading researchers and speakers on the health benefits of tai chi.

This is a free family-friendly event open to the public, featuring tai chi and qigong demonstrations and workshops by Connecticut area tai chi schools and instructors.
