Medical Student and Resident Exchange

In collaboration with the Yale School of Medicine’s Office of International Medical Student Education, the Yale-China Association sends medical students from the Xiangya School of Medicine and Yale School of Medicine for four weeks clinical electives at the partner school and its affiliated hospitals.

2014-2015 Yale to Xiangya Exchange

Each year, the Yale School of Medicine sends medical students who have finished at least three years of school to Xiangya School of Medicine and affiliated hospitals for a four-week long clinical elective. Current Students >
Besides engaging in clinical work, Yale medical students also have opportunities to explore the city of Changsha, visit landmarks such as the Yuelu Academy, Orange Island and Zhangjiajie.

2014-15 Xiangya to Yale Exchange

Each year, Xiangya School of Medicine sends 5-year or 8-year medical students who have completed at least four years of medical school to Yale School of Medicine for a four-week long clinical elective. Current Students >
Xiangya students not only get to experience and learn about the U.S. medical system, they also engage in cultural activities such as picnics by the beach, museums, concerts, and visits to nearby cities.
