Chia Fellowship at Xiangya

About the Program

Started in 2012, in partnership with Xiangya School of Medicine and affiliated institutions, four female health professionals are selected from western Hunan each year to receive training at Xiangya School of Medicine. Each Fellow is paired with a Xiangya faculty mentor to develop a project addressing health issues in her work setting or community.

Fellowship Structure at Xiangya

Chia Fellows from western Hunan spend five months in the spring of their fellowship year at Xiangya and affiliated institutions. While there, each Fellow is paired with a faculty advisor. The program of study is tailored to the needs of the Fellow and guided by the Xiangya faculty mentor.
