Coming out of a Hong Kong Festival World Premiere and making its American Premiere, Yang Hao's latest work Pied à terre, responds to Jessica Rizzo's poems with dance and pedestrian movement while speaking to his experiences at the crossroads of East and West.

The International Festival of Arts & Ideas and Yale-China Association Arts Fellowship is an 18-month experience for emerging professional Chinese artists. Fellows spend six months in residence in New haven learning from practicing artists and professors at Yale and in the greater New Haven community, while developing a project of their own to be premiered a year after their residency.

Yang Hao is an inaugural HKETO-NY Arts Fellow of the Yale-China Arts Fellowship. This residency program was made possible by a special partnership with the International Festival of Arts & Ideas, Yale-China Association, Yale University, and the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office of New York.
