Catherine Wang (WANG Jun) has been engaged in international cultural exchange activities throughout her career. Immediately before her 2011 appointment as President of the Center for China Shanghai International Arts Festival, she served as Director of the Forum Affairs Department of the Shanghai World Expo, responsible for planning and organizing over one hundred summits and public fora. These fora convened Chinese and international political leaders, distinguished scholars, Nobel Prize winners, as well as entrepreneurs and senior media representatives.

Prior to the Expo, Wang Jun specialized in international exchanges in radio, film and television. From 1999-2011, she served as Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Shanghai Bureau of Radio, Film and Television, and Director of the International Relations Department of the Shanghai Media and Entertainment Group respectively. During that period, she also played an important role in organizing the Shanghai TV Festival and the Shanghai International Film Festival.

Mary Lou Aleskie (moderator) is the executive director of the International Festival of Arts & Ideas in New Haven, Connecticut. Mary Lou is a Chief Executive Global Fellow of National Arts Strategies, serves on the Arts Advisory Committee of the Yale-China Association, and is the Board Chair of the International Society of Performing Arts (ISPA). Appointed by the Connecticut State Senate Majority Leader, she serves on the State’s Planning Commission for Higher Education and is an Associate Fellow of Branford College at Yale University. Mary Lou is teaching a workshop on International Presenting for Yale School of Drama's Theater Management department.
