Sun Dawei, artist from Shandong Province, gave a master class on his style of traditional Chinese guohua painting. A Fireside Chat followed with a discussion moderated by Nancy Yao Maasbach, Executive Director of Yale-China.

Mr. Sun is a graduate of the Central Academy of Arts and Design in Beijing, and has collected accolades from entities in Singapore, Taiwan, and mainland China. This was Mr. Sun's first visit to the United States.

What are Fireside Chats?

The Fireside Chat series brings speakers to Yale-China to share and discuss issues related to China’s heart and hinterland with the Yale and New Haven communities.

All Fireside Chats are free and open to the public with registration.

Unless otherwise noted, all talks begin at 4:30 pm and are held in the Yale-China office, 442 Temple Street, New Haven.
