TO BE RESCHEDULED due to unforeseen circumstances

THE YALI SOCIETY OF HONG KONG IS MEETING ON JUNE 13 in Times Square, Causeway Bay, for a Yale-China 'Film-Raiser.' The Yali Society is a network of alumni and friends from any Yale-China program, including former students of Yale-China teachers. Renew your old friendships and make new ones with others who share the special bond of a Yale-China experience.

YALI SOCIETY WILL PROVIDE AN EXCLUSIVE VIEWING of the new short documentary Yaya by Justin Cheung, graduate of the NYU Tisch School of the Arts and son of Hong Kong film director, Alfred Cheung. Yaya is an intimate portrayal of a Filipino woman who came to Hong Kong as a domestic worker. After the film, invited discussants will briefly comment on the film and what it says about Hong Kong today, after which we will have an open discussion over light refreshments.

Along with rejuvenating the Yali Society in Hong Kong, the event will support the ongoing work of the Yale-China Association, for which we request a minimum donation of HKD 100 (collected at the door).

RSVP to BettyHo@cuhk.edu.hk by Sunday, June 10.
